About Sophon
Sophon raised $60M in 2024 and is building infrastructure at the intersection of blockchain, finance, and consumer applications. The company is now launching a new suite of neobanking products designed to bring the benefits of crypto to everyday users.
The role
You'll work across the team to develop Sophon Labs' thought leadership presence — building out a coherent worldview on crypto, consumer finance, and AI, and making that worldview legible through long-form articles, product narratives, and strategic framing.
That means going deep on the thesis behind each product: what we're building, what we're betting on, and why the timing is right. It also means sitting inside the product and strategy process to pressure-test ideas, synthesise research, and help shape decisions.
What you'll work on
- Research across crypto, DeFi, AI, and consumer fintech: identifying what's actually interesting before it becomes obvious
- Tracking and analysing the competitive landscape across neobanks, stablecoin infrastructure, AI, and consumer DeFi and knowing what it means for what we build
- Supporting product and business decision making by synthesising information into clear recommendations
- Writing articles, product primers, and strategic narratives that make the case for what we're building and where the industry is going
- Supporting marketing by grounding campaigns in real product and market insight
You
- Have 0–3 years in either strategy, research, writing, consulting, or somewhere similarly high-signal
- Can write with precision and a point of view
- Are comfortable in a product or strategy conversation
- Know how to analyse data and trends to inform your insights
- Understand the crypto and fintech landscape to know what's worth paying attention to
- Are comfortable with ambiguity and forming independent views without waiting for a brief
- Bonus point: Have an existing audience or distribution
